Why is this race important? The Harris County Department of Education provides much needed support services to over 26 area school districts at a reduced cost to our public schools in Harris County. They provide programs like Head Start, Early Childhood Intervention, After School Programs, Teacher Training, Principal Certification, and Buying Cooperatives to name just a few. With over 25 years of education experience, Diane has a passion for improving schools and helping children and will protect these vital HCDE services that some would like to abolish.
