We did it....thanks to all of you!
November 6, 2012 was a long night, but when the final results came in, we were successful. Thanks to you and your hard work, your financial support, and your tireless efforts at the polls, we succeeded in making public education a priority in Harris County.
Our victory was not just for you and I. It was also a victory for the children and public schools in Harris County. The voters spoke loud and clear their support for someone who would stand up for our public schools instead of working against them. There is no doubt that there will continue to be those who try to attack our public schools and the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) as well, so I will continue to need your support. As promised, I will work hard to protect, improve, and enhance the HCDE services that our schools and children count on.
